Concord Hospital Mental Health Unit

Fugen Masonry New South Wales helped deliver Burudyara, the new Concord Hospital Mental Health Unit, on a live hospital campus adjacent to Concord Hospital. This campus is part of the $700m State Wide Mental Health Infrastructure Program. The facility takes a "homely care" approach rather than an institutional one, with secure bed pods, courtyards, and balcony spaces designed to support patient wellbeing.

We delivered the face brick and brick seating for the project, blending five brick types: Bowral Hilltop (majority), Gertrudis Brown, Capitol Red, Renovation Gertrudis, and Bowral Brown into a patterned finish across the façade and benches. Every brick was laid with careful attention to placement and colour distribution, ensuring the pattern read as natural and considered rather than random or repetitive.
