Completed in 2021, the Marrickville Metro expansion is a standout heritage refurbishment project that combines contemporary commercial spaces with a meticulously restored heritage façade. This development celebrates the local food and art culture while honouring the area’s rich industrial history.

Fugen Masonry played a key role in this transformation, constructing both internal and external masonry walls. The external façade features PGH Bricks’ Bowral range, selected for its authentic texture and colour, while Austral grey blocks were used for the interior walls. Our team also undertook sensitive restoration of the heritage façade, preserving its historic character while integrating modern building standards and functionality.
